A master's thesis at the University of Basrah( explain the evaluation of (osteopontin levels in male rats.

A master's thesis at the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Basrah evaluated the effect of zinc deficiency on complete blood counts, thyroid, parathyroid, reproductive, and growth hormone levels, as well as histological changes and osteocalcin expression in bone.

The thesis included an experiment on immature male rats suffering from zinc deficiency, monitoring the biochemical and physiological changes resulting from zinc deficiency, and a histological and immunohistochemical study to clarify osteocalcin expression in bone.

The thesis, presented by student Maryam Ali Mohammad, aimed to evaluate the therapeutic role of vitamin D3 and its effectiveness in improving the negative changes resulting from zinc deficiency.

The thesis concluded that zinc deficiency causes significant negative changes in the studied parameters, while vitamin D3 contributes to improving these changes and promoting bone health. Both are linked in a complementary relationship to maintain normal physiological functions and enhance the immune system.
