
University of Basra Enhances Student Life with the Opening of a Modern Cafeteria
The College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Basra has inaugurated a fully equipped cafeteria, attended by the President of the Basra Veterinary Association, Dr. Ahmed Riyad. This initiative seeks to enrich the educational environment by offering students a healthy, comfortable, and well-serviced space that supports both learning and social interaction.
The cafeteria has been outfitted with modern facilities and diverse services to meet students’ daily needs, providing an environment that blends relaxation, study, and communication.
Professor Dr. Jalal Yassin Mustafa, Dean of the College, highlighted that the cafeteria represents a significant addition to university life. He noted that it provides a varied selection of healthy meals catering to different preferences, while also offering a welcoming space where students can spend their free time productively, fostering both health and well-being.
The Dean further explained that the cafeteria will serve as a hub for strengthening social connections among students, which will positively contribute to a motivating academic atmosphere that supports the achievement of their educational aspirations. Additionally, a dedicated hall has been prepared for faculty and staff, ensuring an integrated and comfortable space that encourages relaxation and communication.
